Here are some of the contributions and projects I completed during my internship at Goodwill.
For the 2024 edition of the Atlanta Business Chronicle, I crafted an advertisement for Goodwill using Photoshop. Adhering to Goodwill's brand guidelines, I designed the ad with a focus on readability and visual appeal.
During the revision process, I received guidance from my supervisor to ensure the final product was polished. Additionally, I conducted image testing to identify the most effective visual and collaborated with the team to perfect the headlines and messaging. This project underscored the importance of detail-oriented design and effective communication in advertising.
Local business leaders will be informed of Goodwill's mission "to put people to work".
I oversaw capturing content at the Bells Ferry Grand Reopening. One of the photos I took was published with a press release in the Cherokee Tribune. I also had the opportunity to oversee the pitching and writing process for the press release. Link to article below:
The local community will know about their refreshed Goodwill store by seeing it in the news.
One of my favorite projects this summer was developing a new way to promote the Color of the Week Campaign. The Color of the Week items are selected to be 50% off all week. First, I brainstormed various perspectives to promote the concept. The idea we decided on was to create a social media reel to unveil the new promotion.
I decided to test a game concept, choosing Pac-Man as the theme. I created a video replicating someone playing a Pac-Man themed Color of the Week game. This concept offers future flexibility, allowing Goodwill to explore other game themes and create engaging reels similar to this one.
This Color of the Week Campaign will provide a fresh new way to communicate the promotion to customers.
I designed multiple templates for Career Fair flyers. These templates will be used for future marketing requests by Career Services and shared on Facebook. The templates are designed to be easily customizable, ensuring that each flyer can be tailored to specific career fairs and target audiences.
These career fair flyers will help job seekers find opportunities by providing clear, visually appealing information about upcoming events.
I was responsible for capturing video content for the Bells Ferry Refresh. This project included interviewing the store manager to get insights on the updates, capturing footage of the newest areas of the store, and showcasing team member interactions to highlight the vibrant store atmosphere. After filming, I edited the video using CapCut. Throughout the editing process, I received valuable feedback from my supervisor, which helped refine the final product.
This reel will increase awareness of the Goodwill location in Woodstock.
I designed several options to revamp the sustainability efforts section on the Goodwill of North Georgia homepage. Our goal was to display the donation cycle to customers in this section.
The process included a brainstorming and research phase to determine the wording and style of the graphics. I created these two graphics in Photoshop. These icons will provide a better and more efficient viewing experience for users.
Rather than a paragraph of text, these graphics will enhance the visual appeal and clarity for users.
I designed recognition cards to a new and fresh format for Goodwill of North Georgia. These were designed in photoshop and went through a revision process to get approval.
These cards will be used everyday for employees to feel proud of their work at Good of North Georgia!
